Offered here is a 2025-S Dr. Vera Rubin American Women Quarter in proof, struck at the San Francisco Mint. Dr. Rubin was the astronomer whose work gave the first strong evidence for dark matter; the reverse shows her pointing toward the stars and spiral galaxies she studied. The obverse carries Laura Gardin Fraser's portrait of Washington.

Condition: Proof, with mirror fields and frosted devices giving a strong cameo contrast, especially on the Washington side. No hairlines or contact marks are visible in our photos. There is one tiny light speck in the field below the bust near the S mint mark, which may be on the holder window. Please see the photos, which are the best description.
