2018-D American Innovation Dollar $1 BU Uncirculated Patent Gears Signed CoinOffered here is a 2018-D American Innovation Dollar — the introductory coin that launched the U.S. Mint’s American Innovation $1 series, which runs from 2018 through 2032 and honors an innovation from each state and territory. The reverse shows George Washington’s signature on the first U.S. patent, issued in 1790, surrounded by gears; the obverse features a dramatic view of the Statue of Liberty. As with all modern dollars, the date, mintmark and “E PLURIBUS UNUM” are incused on the edge. This example is Brilliant Uncirculated with full mint luster.

Instead, coins travel in a vinyl flip, a thick baggie, or a cardboard flip, whichever best protects that particular coin. We ship daily, Monday through Friday, excluding all USPS holidays. |
