Offered here is a 2000-P Sacagawea golden dollar from the Philadelphia Mint, from the first year of issue. Glenna Goodacre's obverse shows Sacagawea carrying her infant son Jean Baptiste; Thomas D. Rogers' reverse shows a soaring eagle surrounded by 17 stars. The P mint mark is below the date.

Grade: Uncirculated (BU). No wear on the high points: Sacagawea's cheek, hair and the baby's head, and the eagle's breast and wing feathers, show full detail, and original mint luster covers the fields on both sides with bright golden color.

Condition, please read: in fairness, as with most business-strike Sacagawea dollars there are scattered bag marks and light scratches, mostly in the obverse fields left of the portrait and across the cheek and neck, plus a few light marks in the reverse fields. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.

The coin comes in a clear round plastic capsule, shown in the photos. It is a raw coin, not certified.

Mint: Philadelphia (P)
