Offered here is a 2000-D Sacagawea golden dollar from the Denver Mint, from the first year of issue. Glenna Goodacre's obverse shows Sacagawea carrying her infant son Jean Baptiste, and Thomas D. Rogers' reverse shows a soaring eagle surrounded by 17 stars. The D mint mark is below the date.

Grade: Uncirculated (BU). No wear on the high points: Sacagawea's cheek and hair, the baby's head, and the eagle's breast and wing feathers show full detail, and bright original mint luster covers both sides. The original golden color is accented by light natural toning near the rims.

Condition, please read: in fairness, there are a few light hairline scratches in the obverse fields and on the neck, and scattered small marks in the reverse fields, as is common on business-strike golden dollars. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.

The coin comes in a clear round plastic capsule, shown in the photos. It is a raw coin, not certified.

Mint: Denver (D)
Mintage: 518,916,000
Composition: manganese-brass clad (golden color) over a pure copper core; not gold, not silver
Designers: Glenna Goodacre (obverse), Thomas D. Rogers (reverse)
Condition: Ungraded (raw coin, not certified)

The coin shown is the exact coin you will receive.
