1983 Yarmouth Nova Scotia $1 Trade Dollar Token Dominion Textile 100th

1983 Yarmouth, Nova Scotia $1 Trade Dollar token marking 100 years of the Dominion Textile mill in Yarmouth. A municipal trade dollar issued in 1983 for the town’s centennial celebration of the mill, collected today as Canadian municipal exonumia.

The obverse shows the Yarmouth harbour scene with the town name and “Trade Dollar” legend; the reverse carries the Dominion Textile centennial design with the 1883–1983 dates. Canadian trade dollars like this were redeemable at face value with local merchants for a limited time. The piece shows light handling with full design detail.

An inexpensive and interesting addition for a Nova Scotia, Canadian token or trade dollar collection. Please see the photos. THE TOKEN SHOWN IS THE EXACT TOKEN YOU WILL RECEIVE.

BOURNE2TREASURE
WHO WE ARE Bourne2Treasure is a family-owned business based in Dayton, TN, proud to be celebrating our 25th year in operation. Along the way we’ve earned over 27,000 pieces of feedback as a seller.
SHIPPING Every coin we sell ships in protective packaging — no exceptions. The exact container depends on the shipping class: for example, our Standard Envelope option is limited to a maximum of 1/4" thickness, so a bubble mailer isn’t used there. Instead, coins travel in a vinyl flip, a thick baggie, or a cardboard flip, whichever best protects that particular coin. We ship daily, Monday through Friday, excluding all USPS holidays.
RETURNS / GUARANTEE We maintain (unless otherwise noted on items like bullion) a 30-day, FREE-to-you return policy. All we want is happy customers — if you don’t like what we send, just send it back, free of charge.
QUESTIONS? CONTACT US Contact us Monday–Friday, 9–5 EST, with any questions or concerns. Our number one goal is happy customers who buy from us time and time again. If you ever have an issue, please let us know — and remember, our return policy above has you covered.
GRADING DISCLAIMER We arrive at an approximate grade using a combination of our own years of experience and, increasingly, Artificial Intelligence (AI). We are not a professional grading service, and any grade shown is only an approximation — please make your own determination based on the photos provided.
