1976 Bicentennial Kennedy Half Dollar 50C AU Independence Hall CladOffered here is a 1976 Bicentennial Kennedy Half Dollar, one of the most popular modern U.S. commemorative designs. To celebrate 200 years of American independence, the Mint ran a national design competition in 1973; Seth G. Huntington’s view of Independence Hall in Philadelphia — where the Declaration of Independence was signed — won for the half dollar reverse. Bicentennial halves were struck in both 1975 and 1976, but every one carries the special dual date “1776–1976.” Clean, bright surfaces with sharp design detail.
