1969-D Kennedy Half Dollar 40% Silver 50C Denver Mint Silver Clad AU Coin

Offered here is a genuine 1969-D Kennedy half dollar struck at the Denver Mint in 40% silver clad. Kennedy halves were made in 40% silver only from 1965 through 1970, and this coin holds about 0.1479 oz of pure silver.

Grade: About Uncirculated (AU). The hair below the part is sharp and well separated, the cheek and jaw are full, and on the reverse the eagle's feathers, arrow tips and tail feathers are crisp, with at most a trace of rub on the highest points.

Condition, please read: the coin has gray-gold toning overall, with greenish spotting/residue on the reverse, heaviest around E PLURIBUS UNUM and in the field to the right of the eagle, a few small dark spots on the reverse right field, and a few faint green spots on the obverse. Scattered light contact marks, as is normal for a half dollar. No holes, bends or rim damage. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.
