Offered here is a two-coin lot of 1965 British Caribbean Territories, Eastern Group: one 25 cents (KM 6) and one 10 cents (KM 5). Both show the crowned portrait of young Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and the Golden Hind sailing ship on the reverse. 1965 is the last year of this 1955-1965 series, before the East Caribbean States coinage took over. Only 1,280,000 of the 1965 25 cents were struck.
Grade: both coins Very Fine (VF). Even circulation wear on the hair and sail tops, with the curls, crown jewels, sails and rigging still showing detail and full rims and legends.
Condition, please read: the 25 cents has several small reddish-brown spots, mostly on the reverse (on the sails and near EASTERN GROUP and the date) and a couple on the crown. The 10 cents has a small dark spot in the reverse field at right. Both show light contact marks and fine scratches normal for circulated coins. No holes, bends or rim damage seen. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.
