Offered here is a 1964-D Roosevelt dime struck at the Denver Mint, from 1964, the last year of 90% silver dimes before the switch to copper-nickel clad in 1965. The D mint mark is on the reverse, left of the torch base.
Grade: Brilliant Uncirculated (BU), our opinion. The hair above the ear shows full, sharp detail with no wear on the high points, the torch lines and the olive and oak leaves are full, and both sides have bright, unbroken mint luster. Untoned, brilliant white.
Condition notes: scattered small contact marks and light ticks on the cheek, jaw and neck, and a few small ticks in the reverse fields, as is normal for an uncirculated dime that was handled in mint bags. No rim damage, spots or corrosion. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.
Composition: 90% silver, 10% copper
Silver content: 0.07234 troy oz
Weight: 2.50 g
Diameter: 17.9 mm, reeded edge
Denomination: 10 cents
Mint: Denver (D)
Condition: raw, ungraded
