Offered here is a 1963-D Franklin half dollar struck at the Denver Mint in 90% silver. The D mint mark is just above the beam of the Liberty Bell on the reverse. 1963 is the last year of the Franklin half dollar, which ran from 1948 to 1963 before the Kennedy half replaced it.

Grade: Extremely Fine (XF). Light wear on the cheek, shoulder and the hair behind the ear, with the curls and hair strands still separated. On the reverse the lines along the bottom of the bell run across its full width and the lettering on the beam is visible.

Condition, please read: in fairness, there are numerous fine hairline scratches across both sides, in the fields and on the portrait, which may be from an old light cleaning. There is darker toning around the obverse lettering and near the rim. No rim damage. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.

Composition: 90% silver, 10% copper (0.3617 troy oz actual silver weight)
Mintage: 67,069,292
Condition: ungraded, raw coin

The coin ships in a protective holder.
