1962 Proof Roosevelt Dime PCGS PR66 10C 90% Silver Gem Proof EDC Plug Red Label

Offered here is a 1962 Roosevelt dime in Proof, certified and encapsulated by PCGS as PR66. It was struck at the Philadelphia Mint for the 1962 proof sets (mintage 3,218,019), one of the last years of 90% silver dimes before the switch to clad in 1965.

Proof coins were struck on polished planchets with specially prepared dies, giving mirror-like fields, sharp squared rims and crisp detail. At PR66 this is a Gem proof with bright, clean mirrors, as the photos show.

The coin is housed in a current-generation PCGS holder with a red custom insert from EDC Plug Coins and Bullion (Every Day Coin) on the back, a striking display piece.
