1960 Franklin Half Dollar 50C AU About Uncirculated 90% Silver Iridescent TonedThe Franklin half dollar, designed by Chief Engraver John R. Sinnock, was struck from 1948 to 1963 in 90% silver. The reverse shows the Liberty Bell, complete with its famous crack, beside a small eagle. This 1960 was struck at the Philadelphia Mint (no mintmark). Its mintage of 6,024,000 is one of the lower Philadelphia mintages of the series. It grades about AU with good luster and sharp hair and bell details, showing just a trace of wear on the cheek and bell. Light iridescent toning with pastel blue and gold near the rims. Please note scattered marks and hairlines on the cheek and fields and a few small marks on the bell.
