1957 Franklin Half Dollar 50C BU Brilliant Uncirculated 90% Silver Bright LusterOffered here is a 1957 Franklin Half Dollar from the Philadelphia Mint in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Struck in 90% silver, the Franklin half was produced from 1948 to 1963 and is the only regular-issue US coin to honor Benjamin Franklin. This coin shows bright, original mint luster across both sides with no signs of circulation wear. Franklin’s portrait is sharp and the Liberty Bell on the reverse shows strong detail, with natural light toning starting at the rims. Designed by John R. Sinnock, the Franklin half carries the Liberty Bell on the reverse with a small eagle to its right, as required by law. 1957 Philadelphia saw 5,114,000 struck for circulation, a modest mintage for the series.
