1954 Washington Quarter 25C AU Silver Rainbow Toned Philadelphia Mint CoinOffered here is a 1954 Washington Quarter from the Philadelphia Mint, with attractive natural rainbow toning on both sides. The Washington quarter was introduced in 1932 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of George Washington’s birth, using a portrait by sculptor John Flanagan based on Jean-Antoine Houdon’s famous bust. Quarters were struck in 90% silver through 1964. Strong design detail and original luster under the toning.
