1944 Mercury Dime BU Brilliant Uncirculated Sharp Bands 90% Silver WWII 10c CoinThe Mercury (Winged Liberty Head) dime is one of the most beautiful 20th-century US coins, designed by Adolph Weinman and struck in 90% silver from 1916 to 1945. This 1944 dime was struck during World War II. This exact 1944 Philadelphia coin (no mint mark) is Brilliant Uncirculated with bright white luster and a faint touch of iridescent toning. The center bands on the fasces are sharp, but we do not describe it as Full Bands. There are light contact marks on the cheek. Please see the close-up photos.
