1943 Walking Liberty Half Dollar 50C VF 90% Silver Golden Toned WWII Era CoinAdolph A. Weinman's Walking Liberty half dollar, struck from 1916 to 1947, shows Liberty striding toward the sunrise draped in the flag. It is widely considered one of the most beautiful U.S. coins, and the design was revived in 1986 for the American Silver Eagle. This 1943 half was struck at the Philadelphia Mint (no mintmark) during World War II. It grades about Very Fine: the skirt lines and the eagle's feathers are still clearly visible, with even wear on the high points. The coin carries natural golden toning with darker toning around the rims on both sides - an original, untouched look.
