Washington's hair shows good detail with moderate, even wear on the high points, and LIBERTY, the motto and the bold date are all clear. The reverse eagle retains much of its breast and wing feathering, with a clear S mint mark above QUARTER DOLLAR. Light, original golden toning over both sides. About the series: The Washington quarter was introduced in 1932 for the 200th anniversary of George Washington’s birth, with a portrait by sculptor John Flanagan. Quarters were struck in 90% silver through 1964.
