1937 Mercury Dime 10C VG Very Good 90% Silver Winged Liberty Head Philadelphia

Adolph A. Weinman's Winged Liberty Head dime, struck from 1916 to 1945, shows Liberty in a winged cap symbolizing freedom of thought; the public mistook her for the Roman god Mercury and the nickname stuck. Every Mercury dime is 90% silver.

This 1937 was struck at the Philadelphia Mint (no mintmark). It grades about Very Good: full rims, clear date and lettering, with partly worn wing feathers and branch leaves.

Natural gray toning with darker fields. There is a small rim nick at the bottom of the reverse.
