Offered here is a 1935-S Washington quarter struck at the San Francisco Mint in 90% silver. Only 5,660,000 were made, a low mintage for the series and one of the early dates from the first years of the Washington quarter. The S mint mark sits on the reverse just below the wreath, above DOLLAR. Each coin contains 0.18084 troy ounce of actual silver.
Grade: Good. LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST and the full date are complete, with a full rim on the obverse. The hair is worn nearly smooth with the outline of the curls remaining. On the reverse the eagle and wreath are in clear outline; the lettering is complete across the top, and QUARTER DOLLAR is weak and partly worn into the rim at the bottom.
Condition, please read: in fairness, the coin shows scattered light scratches and contact marks on both sides, a small mark at the back of the hair near the ribbon, and small rim bumps on the obverse at about 3 o'clock and on the reverse at about 4 o'clock, to the right of DOLLAR. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.
