1934 Buffalo Nickel 5C Indian Head Five Cents Philadelphia Full Bold Date VG+
Offered here is a 1934 Buffalo Nickel (Indian Head five cents) from the Philadelphia Mint (no mint mark), designed by James Earle Fraser. The date is full and bold, with all four digits clear, which many Buffalo nickels have lost to wear.
Condition: Very Good, VG+. The date, LIBERTY and the rims are strong, with LIBERTY standing clear of the rim and the reverse lettering well separated from the rim. The horn is worn down to its base, and the bison's back is smooth. There is a long thin scratch across the bison's head and shoulder and a second one on the hump, a small rim nick on the reverse at about 8 o'clock, scattered light marks on both sides, and a tiny dark spot near the bison's front leg. Please see the photos, which are the best description.
Composition: 75% copper, 25% nickel (not silver)
Mintage: 20,213,003
Grade: ungraded (raw)
The coin shown is the exact coin you will receive.
