Offered here is a 1931-D Lincoln Wheat Cent from the Denver Mint. Only 4,480,000 were struck at Denver in 1931, one of the lower mintages of the series, and it is a popular better date for wheat cent collectors.

This coin shows light to moderate wear with good detail in Lincoln’s hair and beard and strong wheat lines on the reverse. The date and D mintmark are clear. Natural, even brown surfaces.

Designed by Victor David Brenner, the Lincoln cent debuted in 1909 for the 100th anniversary of Lincoln’s birth. The wheat reverse was used until 1958.
