1928 P Buffalo Nickel 5C Indian Head Philadelphia Mint Fraser Design VG
Offered here is a 1928 Buffalo (Indian Head) nickel, struck at the Philadelphia Mint (no mint mark below FIVE CENTS). James Earle Fraser's classic design shows a Native American profile on the front and an American bison on the back. 23,411,000 were struck at Philadelphia in 1928.
Grade: Very Good (VG). The date is full and readable, LIBERTY is clear and the rims are complete. The braid and feathers still show detail, while the buffalo's horn is worn down to a low outline.
Condition, please read: there is a long diagonal scratch across the front of the coin, running from the hair down to the cheek, with a few small marks on the cheek beside it. The back has scattered light marks on the buffalo's side and normal circulation wear. No rim damage, holes or corrosion seen. Please see the photos, which are the best description.
Composition: 75% copper, 25% nickel (not silver)
Grade: ungraded (raw coin, not certified)
The coin shown is the exact coin you will receive.
