1927-S Mercury Dime VG Very Good San Francisco 90% Silver 10c Winged Liberty OldThe Winged Liberty Head dime, better known as the Mercury dime, is one of the most beautiful US coin designs. The 1927-S is a San Francisco issue with a mintage under five million, struck in 90% silver. This exact coin is honestly worn in the Very Good range: the portrait, LIBERTY and date are clear, the S mintmark is plain to see beside the fasces, and the rims are full. There are light scratches on both sides and a small raised lump in the right obverse field near the Y of LIBERTY.
