1927 Buffalo Nickel 5C Indian Head Five Cents Philadelphia Mint Coin Good
Offered here is a 1927 Buffalo (Indian Head) nickel, struck at the Philadelphia Mint (no mint mark below FIVE CENTS). James Earle Fraser's classic design, a favorite of American coin collectors.
Grade: Good. The date is weak, as is typical for Buffalo nickels since the date sits on a high point of the design: the 2 and 7 are readable and the 9 shows faintly. The rest of the coin shows stronger detail than the date: LIBERTY is complete and separate from the rim, the feathers and braid are well outlined, part of the bison's horn shows, and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM and FIVE CENTS are full and clear of the rims.
Condition, please read: normal circulation wear with scattered light marks and fine scratches on both sides, mostly on the cheek and on the bison. No holes or rim dings seen. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.
Composition: 75% copper, 25% nickel
Condition: Ungraded (raw coin, not certified)
The coin shown is the exact coin you will receive.
