1926 Standing Liberty Quarter 25C G Good 90% Silver Philadelphia Mint US CoinOffered here is a 1926 Standing Liberty Quarter from the Philadelphia Mint, struck in 90% silver. 11,316,000 were minted in 1926. This coin shows heavy, even circulation wear typical of the grade. Lady Liberty, her raised shield and olive branch are clearly outlined, LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST are readable, and the eagle in flight on the reverse is complete with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and QUARTER DOLLAR. The date is partly worn, as is common on these quarters, so please see the photos. Natural silver-gray surfaces. Designed by Hermon A. MacNeil, the Standing Liberty quarter (1916-1930) is one of the most admired US silver designs of the 20th century. From 1925 the date was recessed into the base to stop it wearing away so quickly.
