1924-S Peace Silver Dollar AU Semi Key Date Low Mintage 1.7M San Francisco MintThe Peace dollar, designed by Anthony de Francisci, was struck from 1921 to 1935 to commemorate the end of World War I. The 1924-S is a semi-key date: San Francisco struck only 1,728,000, against 11.8 million at Philadelphia that year. The S mint mark is clear below "ONE" near the eagle's wing tip. This coin has light golden toning and good detail in the rays and feathers, with scattered hairline marks in the fields.
