Offered here is a genuine 1919-S Buffalo (Indian Head) nickel struck at the San Francisco Mint. The 1919-S is a semi-key date in the series, with a mintage of about 7.5 million. The S mint mark is clear below FIVE CENTS on the reverse.
Grade: About Good (AG). The date is very faint: it was read as 1919 under a loupe with angled light, but it is too worn to show in the photos. Apart from the date, the coin is well defined for the grade: LIBERTY is clear and separate from the rim, the F initial shows, the rims are full on both sides, and the reverse legends and S mint mark stand apart from the rim.
Condition, please read: the date is very weak and may need magnification and good light to see. The coin shows heavy, even circulation wear, with fine scratches and small contact marks across both sides. No holes, bends or rim damage seen. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.
