1917-S Lincoln Wheat Cent Toner 1C Penny San Francisco Mint XF Gold Violet ToneThe Lincoln wheat cent was struck from 1909 to 1958. The early S-mint and D-mint dates from the 1910s saw heavy circulation, so nice survivors with original surfaces are in demand. This 1917-S shows gold and violet toning over both sides, with good detail at about XF and a clear S mint mark. This coin is raw (not certified). The grade shown is our approximate assessment.
