1913-S Lincoln Wheat Cent 1C G Good San Francisco Mint Low Mintage Better DateOffered here is a 1913-S Lincoln Wheat Cent from the San Francisco Mint. Only 6,101,000 were struck, one of the lower mintages of the 1910s, and S-mint cents from this era are much harder to find than their Philadelphia counterparts. This coin shows honest, even circulation wear with a full date and a clear S mintmark below it. LIBERTY, the motto and Lincoln's portrait are all readable, and the reverse shows ONE CENT and both wheat stalks. The surfaces are an original brown with natural mottled toning. Designed by Victor David Brenner, the Lincoln cent debuted in 1909 for the 100th anniversary of Lincoln's birth, the first circulating US coin to show a real person.
