Offered here is a 1912-S Barber (Liberty Head) dime struck at the San Francisco Mint in 90% silver. Just 3,420,000 were made at San Francisco that year. The S mint mark is clear on the reverse, just below the wreath bow. Each coin contains 0.07234 troy ounce of actual silver.

Grade: Good. The full legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the date 1912 are bold and clear of the rim, and the rims are full on both sides. LIBERTY on the headband is worn away, as expected for the grade, while the outline of the head, the laurel wreath and the ribbon remain. On the reverse, ONE DIME is bold and the wreath is fully outlined with some leaf and grain detail still showing.

Condition, please read: in fairness, the coin shows scattered light scratches and hairlines on both sides, most noticeable on the cheek and neck, plus a few small contact marks and a small dark spot near the reverse rim at about 10 o'clock. Even gray toning overall. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.
