Offered here is a genuine 1912 Barber dime from the Philadelphia Mint, struck in 90% silver. Designed by Chief Engraver Charles E. Barber, the Liberty Head (Barber) dime was struck from 1892 to 1916, when it was replaced by the Mercury dime. A classic early 20th century silver type coin, well over 110 years old.

Grade: Good. Liberty's portrait is in full outline with the hair, cap and wreath worn smooth; the word LIBERTY on the headband has worn away, as is normal for the grade. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the date 1912 are complete and clear, and the rims are full on both sides. On the reverse, ONE DIME is bold and the wreath and bow show in outline.

Condition, please read: in fairness, the coin shows light scattered marks and fine scratches from circulation in the fields and on the portrait, typical of a coin in this grade. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.

Year: 1912
Mint: Philadelphia (no mint mark)
Type: Barber (Liberty Head) dime (1892 to 1916)
Composition: 90% silver, 10% copper (0.0723 oz pure silver)
Condition: Ungraded (raw coin, not certified)
