1909 P Lincoln Wheat Cent Penny 1C G Good First Year Bronze Collector US Coin1909 was the first year of the Lincoln cent, designed by Victor D. Brenner for the 100th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth — the first circulating US coin to portray a real person, and the start of a series still running today. This exact coin is the 1909 Philadelphia plain issue (no VDB, no mintmark). It wears honest, even circulation consistent with the Good letter grade: the date is clear, the legends read, and the surfaces show a pleasing natural brown patina. A great affordable first-year hole filler for any Lincoln wheat album.
