Offered here is a nice 1907 Indian Head cent, struck in bronze at the Philadelphia Mint (Indian cents carry no mint mark before 1908).
Grade: VF (Very Fine). All letters of LIBERTY can be read on the headband. The feathers keep much of their center lines and detail, with wear on the tips, and the ribbon is outlined. On the reverse the shield lines are clear and the oak wreath is well outlined, with wear on the high points of the leaves and bow. Bold date, full rims and denticles, even brown color.
Condition, please read: light hairlines and small marks from circulation on the cheek and in the obverse fields, and a few small dark specks, mostly in the reverse lettering and in the loop of the 9. No rim damage seen. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.
Composition: bronze (95% copper, 5% tin and zinc)
Denomination: 1 Cent
Mint: Philadelphia
