Offered here is a 1906 Indian Head cent, struck in bronze at the Philadelphia Mint (no mint mark). A genuine 120 year old United States cent with the oak wreath and shield reverse.
Grade: VF (Very Fine). Most of the feather detail shows, with center lines and barbs on the feathers, and the hair and ribbon are well defined. LIBERTY on the headband is soft. On the reverse the shield lines are mostly separate, the oak leaves show some vein detail, and the bow and arrows are distinct. Full rims with denticles all the way around, and bold date and legends.
Condition, please read: there are dark and greenish corrosion spots on the reverse, on the wreath and around CENT, and a small nick on the right edge of the reverse rim. Medium brown color with light, even circulation wear. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.
Composition: bronze (95% copper, 5% tin and zinc)
Mintage: 96,022,255
Condition: ungraded, raw coin. The grade is our opinion only.
The coin ships in a protective holder.
The coin shown is the exact coin you will receive.
