Offered here is a 1906 Indian Head cent, struck in bronze at the Philadelphia Mint (no mint mark). A genuine 120 year old United States cent with the oak wreath and shield reverse.
Grade: VF (Very Fine). The reverse is sharp, with clear shield lines, detail in the oak leaves and a distinct bow and arrows. On the obverse the feathers keep much of their detail, with full rims, bold denticles and a bold date and legends. Please note: LIBERTY on the headband is not legible; the headband is smooth with no letters visible. Please see the photos and judge for yourself.
Condition, please read: small green spots near the feather tips and in AMERICA, a dark spot in the left obverse field, a tiny gold-colored speck by the ear, and a thin scratch on the reverse through the C and E of CENT. Medium brown color. The photos are the best description.
Composition: bronze (95% copper, 5% tin and zinc)
Mintage: 96,022,255
Condition: ungraded, raw coin. The grade is our opinion only.
The coin ships in a protective holder.
