1906-D Barber Dime 10C First Year Denver Mint 90% Silver Liberty Head GoodOffered here is a 1906-D Barber (Liberty Head) dime, struck at the Denver Mint. Mintage was 4,060,000, about a fifth of the Philadelphia mintage that year. 1906 was the first year the Denver Mint struck coins, which makes the 1906-D a popular piece for Barber and Denver Mint collectors. The date 1906 is clear below the portrait, and the D mint mark is plain below the wreath bow on the reverse. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is readable around the rim, and ONE DIME is bold within the wreath. Grade: Good. The word LIBERTY on the headband is worn away, the portrait is outlined with little interior detail, and the wreath is mostly outlined. The rims, date, legend and mint mark remain clear. Condition, please read: this coin has heavy circulation wear and problem surfaces. There are dark spots and corrosion-like patches on the obverse, the largest at the back of the neck and in front of the face, with more spotting over the portrait. The reverse has scattered surface spotting and some dark speckles, mostly around the wreath. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.
