Offered here is a 1903 Indian Head cent, struck in bronze at the Philadelphia Mint (no mint mark). A genuine early 20th century penny over 120 years old.
Grade: Uncirculated (BU), Brown. A sharp, high-end coin. LIBERTY is full and bold on the headband, the ribbon diamonds are clearly defined, and every feather shows full center lines and separations. The hair curls and ribbon are crisp. On the reverse, the shield lines are bold and separate and the oak wreath, bow and arrows show full detail. Satiny surfaces on both sides with even chocolate and golden brown color and hints of iridescence near the obverse rim.
Condition, please read: a small dark spot on the feathers just right of LIBERTY and a few tiny dark specks on the cheek and neck, plus a tiny light fleck at the left reverse rim. Light marks consistent with the grade. No rim damage or corrosion seen. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.
