Offered here is an 1891 Indian Head cent, struck in bronze at the Philadelphia Mint (no mint mark). A genuine 19th century United States cent, more than 135 years old, with the oak wreath and shield reverse.

Grade: VG (Very Good). Full rims all the way around, and the date and legends are bold and complete. Every feather is boldly outlined and separate from the head. LIBERTY on the headband is worn away. On the reverse the shield lines are clear, ONE CENT is bold, and the oak wreath shows leaf detail with a distinct bow.

Condition, please read: medium to dark brown with slightly uneven color and darker toning on the portrait. There are light marks and fine hairlines in the obverse fields and on the cheek, and somewhat granular surfaces. Small dark deposits in the reverse wreath and a small light spot on the lower left of the wreath near the bow. No rim damage seen. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.
