Offered here is a genuine 1887-S Seated Liberty dime, struck at the San Francisco Mint almost 140 years ago, in the last years of the Seated Liberty series (1837 to 1891). The small S mint mark is clear below the bow on the reverse. It is 90% silver.
Grade: Good. Bold, complete date, a complete UNITED STATES OF AMERICA legend, and Liberty's full outline, with a full rim all the way around the obverse. LIBERTY on the shield is worn away, as is normal for Good. On the reverse, ONE DIME and the S mint mark are readable and the wreath is outlined, with the upper leaves worn flat.
Condition, please read: in fairness, this coin has numerous light scratches across Liberty's figure and the obverse fields, and lighter scratches on the reverse, with a few small dark spots near the reverse rim. Even gray toning. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.
