Offered here is an 1882 Indian Head cent, struck in bronze at the Philadelphia Mint. A genuine 19th century cent from the heart of the Old West era, over 140 years old.

Grade: Very Good (VG). Full, bold rims on both sides with a sharp, complete date and crisp legends. The headdress feathers are outlined and separated and the portrait stands out well. On the reverse the shield lines are clear and separate, the oak wreath is fully outlined, and the ribbon and arrows are distinct.

Condition, please read: medium brown on the obverse. The reverse has yellowish toning or residue over much of the wreath and the shield. There is a light diagonal scratch across the cheek and neck, a small pit on the face near the eye, and scattered light marks and scratches on both sides, including a line through the left wreath on the reverse. Small rim nicks show on the obverse. Please see all the photos, which are the best description.

Composition: bronze (95% copper, 5% tin and zinc)
Denomination: 1 Cent
Mintage: 38,578,000

Ungraded and uncertified. The approximate grade is our opinion only. THE COIN SHOWN IS THE EXACT COIN YOU WILL RECEIVE.
