1873 Seated Liberty Dime Arrows at Date G Good 90% Silver Philadelphia Type Coin

In 1873 the Mint raised the dime's weight slightly to fit the metric standard, and placed small arrows on each side of the date to mark the change. The arrows appear only on dimes dated 1873 and 1874, which makes this short two-year subtype a popular piece for Seated Liberty type sets.

This exact coin is a heavily circulated Philadelphia example (no mintmark below the wreath) in Good condition. The date and both arrows are bold, the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is readable, and the rims are complete. The word LIBERTY on the shield has worn away, as expected at this grade, and the reverse wreath and ONE DIME are clear. Honest disclosure: there are several small dark spots on the obverse, including on Liberty's figure and in the field near her hand; please see the photos.

BOURNE2TREASURE
WHO WE AREBourne2Treasure is a family-owned business based in Dayton, TN, proud to be celebrating our 25th year in operation. Along the way we’ve earned over 27,000 pieces of feedback as a seller.
SHIPPINGEvery coin we sell ships in protective packaging — no exceptions. The exact container depends on the shipping class: for example, our Standard Envelope option is limited to a maximum of 1/4" thickness, so a bubble mailer isn’t used there. Instead, coins travel in a vinyl flip, a thick baggie, or a cardboard flip, whichever best protects that particular coin. We ship daily, Monday through Friday, excluding all USPS holidays.
RETURNS / GUARANTEEWe maintain (unless otherwise noted on items like bullion) a 30-day, FREE-to-you return policy. All we want is happy customers — if you don’t like what we send, just send it back, free of charge.
QUESTIONS? CONTACT USContact us Monday–Friday, 9–5 EST, with any questions or concerns. Our number one goal is happy customers who buy from us time and time again. If you ever have an issue, please let us know — and remember, our return policy above has you covered.
GRADING DISCLAIMERWe arrive at an approximate grade using a combination of our own years of experience and, increasingly, Artificial Intelligence (AI). We are not a professional grading service, and any grade shown is only an approximation — please make your own determination based on the photos provided.
