| ✓ This is the EXACT coin you will receive 1871 Seated Liberty Half Dime H10C Good 90% Silver Philadelphia Late Type CoinOffered here is an 1871 Seated Liberty half dime, struck at the Philadelphia Mint (no mint mark). These little 90% silver five-cent pieces were made only through 1873, and 1871 is one of the last years of the series. The obverse shows Liberty seated with shield and pole, with a full UNITED STATES OF AMERICA legend and a bold 1871 date. The reverse shows HALF DIME inside the wreath. Rims are full on both sides. Condition, please read: we grade this coin Good (our opinion, not a grading service grade). LIBERTY on the shield is worn away, while the date, legends, rims and wreath outline are strong. There are many light to moderate scratches on both sides, most visible in the obverse right field and across the reverse, including across HALF DIME, plus fine hairlines. The surfaces are light grey with a faint iridescent tint and look somewhat bright for the wear, so the coin may have been lightly cleaned long ago. We did not see any rim nicks or dents. Please look at all six photos. Composition: 90% silver, 10% copper Denomination: half dime (5 cents) Mint: Philadelphia (no mint mark) Grade: Good, raw (not certified) About the series: Christian Gobrecht's Seated Liberty design, showing Liberty seated with a shield and pole, appeared on U.S. silver coins from 1836 to 1891. In 1853, rising silver prices led Congress to reduce the weight of silver coins; the Mint marked the change with arrows beside the date (and, for 1853 only on quarters and halves, rays around the eagle).
Ungraded and uncertified unless stated otherwise; any grade mentioned is our opinion only. THE ITEM SHOWN IS THE EXACT ITEM YOU WILL RECEIVE. |

| WHO WE ARE Bourne2Treasure is a family-owned business based in Dayton, TN, proud to be celebrating our 25th year in operation. Along the way we’ve earned over 27,000 pieces of feedback as a seller. |
| SHIPPING Every coin we sell ships in protective packaging — no exceptions. The exact container depends on the shipping class: for example, our Standard Envelope option is limited to a maximum of 1/4" thickness, so a bubble mailer isn’t used there. Instead, coins travel in a vinyl flip, a thick baggie, or a cardboard flip, whichever best protects that particular coin. We ship daily, Monday through Friday, excluding all USPS holidays. |
| RETURNS / GUARANTEE We maintain (unless otherwise noted on items like bullion) a 30-day, FREE-to-you return policy. All we want is happy customers — if you don’t like what we send, just send it back, free of charge. |
| QUESTIONS? CONTACT US Contact us Monday–Friday, 9–5 EST, with any questions or concerns. Our number one goal is happy customers who buy from us time and time again. If you ever have an issue, please let us know — and remember, our return policy above has you covered. |
| GRADING DISCLAIMER We arrive at an approximate grade using a combination of our own years of experience and, increasingly, Artificial Intelligence (AI). We are not a professional grading service, and any grade shown is only an approximation — please make your own determination based on the photos provided. |
