The obverse shows a hand, holding a scroll that says " WE PROMIFE TO PAY THE BEARER ON DEMAND ONE HALF PENNY"," BUNGAY, 1795" at the top and bottom edge of the piece. The reverse shows a figure of Justice holding a sword and scales, standing on a pedestal, with the legend "FOR THE USE OF TRADE ". The edge is lettered "S. PRENTICE, S. DELF, M. ABEL".
