Each one of these coins was sent to PCGS. The coins were in their "raw" state.Â
On arrival, each coin was received, cataloged, looked at under magnification by a Numismatic expert, given an Alpha/Numeric grade along with a serial number and bar code. The coin is then sealed in a protective special made plastic holder along with a label printed for your individual coin showing the serial number and specifics.
Some of the coins also have special labels that depict notable people, places and events like 4th of July, Declaration of Independence, Washington, Lincoln, U.S. Flag, Bald Eagle, etc.

You (or someone you give the coin(s) to) can go to the PCGS website and look up your particular coin and get a lot of information on it for things like how many were minted, who designed the coin, coin facts and quite a bit more. It is very interesting what you can find out about your individual coins. Â
The grading companies charge a MINIMUM of $35 up to a many hundreds of dollars just to get 1 single coin graded. This does not count the cost of buying the coin. + postage back and forth + insurance and your time!!! In bulk we DO get better deals if by submitting hundreds of coins at one time. This is just to give you an idea of the cost involved JUST in getting the coin graded.
