The fine lines and light scratches you see over both sides of the medal are on the clear plastic window of the cover, not the medal: on the planting scene side, several of them run straight past the medal's edge onto the blue panel, and the eagle side window shows the same kind of light lines and a couple of tiny specks. Because the medal is sealed under the window we cannot rule out light handling marks underneath, but none are clearly on the medal itself. On the stamps, the cancel's ink lines run across the bottom of the strip, and there are a few small dark ink strokes on the left stamp near the postmark.
