The date and legend are bold with full rims, the feathers show some inner detail, and traces of the LIBERTY lettering remain on the headband. On the reverse the shield lines and oak wreath are clear. 1894 had a notably lower mintage than the surrounding 1890s dates, making it a nice pick for filling an Indian cent album. Longacre, the Indian Head cent was struck from 1859 to 1909. The 1859 cents have a laurel wreath reverse; from 1860 the reverse changed to an oak wreath with a small shield.
