The program began in 2007 with Presidents Washington, Adams, Jefferson, and Madison. \r\nNote: In December 2011, Secretary of the Treasury Timothy F. Geithner directed that the United States Mint suspend minting and issuing circulating Presidential $1 Coins. Regular circulating demand for the coins will be met through the Federal Reserve Bank’s existing inventory of circulating coins minted prior to 2012. \r\nThe Presidential $1 Coin Act (Public Law 109-145) sought to revitalize the design of United States coins and return circulating coinage to its position as an object of aesthetic beauty in its own right. Accordingly, the Presidential $1 Coins feature larger, more dramatic artwork, as well as edge-incused inscriptions of the year of minting or issuance, “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” and the mint mark. \r\nFrom 2007 to 2016, the Mint issued four Presidential $1 Coins per year, each with a common reverse design featuring a striking rendition of the Statue of Liberty. The composition of the Presidential $1 Coins is identical to that of the Sacagawea Golden Dollar and the Native American $1 Coins. \r\nIn 2020, as part of Public Law 116-112, the U.S. Mint issued a Presidential $1 Coin for George H. W. Bush. \r\n"}}" id="text-e018a39e3c" class="cmp-text" tabindex="-1" style="box-sizing: border-box;">The United States Mint honors our nation’s presidents by issuing $1 coins featuring their images in the order that they served. | BOURNE2TREASURE |
WHO WE ARE Bourne2Treasure is a family-owned business based in Dayton, TN, proud to be celebrating our 25th year in operation. Along the way we’ve earned over 27,000 pieces of feedback as a seller.
SHIPPING Every coin we sell ships in protective packaging — no exceptions. The exact container depends on the shipping class: for example, our Standard Envelope option is limited to a maximum of 1/4" thickness, so a bubble mailer isn’t used there. Instead, coins travel in a vinyl flip, a thick baggie, or a cardboard flip, whichever best protects that particular coin. We ship daily, Monday through Friday, excluding all USPS holidays.
RETURNS / GUARANTEE We maintain (unless otherwise noted on items like bullion) a 30-day, FREE-to-you return policy. All we want is happy customers — if you don’t like what we send, just send it back, free of charge.
QUESTIONS? CONTACT US Contact us Monday–Friday, 9–5 EST, with any questions or concerns. Our number one goal is happy customers who buy from us time and time again. If you ever have an issue, please let us know — and remember, our return policy above has you covered.
GRADING DISCLAIMER We arrive at an approximate grade using a combination of our own years of experience and, increasingly, Artificial Intelligence (AI). We are not a professional grading service, and any grade shown is only an approximation — please make your own determination based on the photos provided.
